Light-Filled Landscapes

“ Being outdoors as a part of the landscape while painting feeds my soul and gives my work a quality that can’t be obtained any other way.”

Amy Evans is an oil painter who creates colorful and expressive paintings.

Amy rediscovered painting when she and her family moved to Denver, CO. She enrolled in a watercolor class at the Denver Art Students League and has been painting ever since. She began painting the landscape and found that “plein air”painting was her passion.

While living in North Carolina, Amy began painting in oils again as well as painting “interior scapes” and still life. Now residing in Breckenridge, Colorado, she continues to paint outdoors as much as possible.

Amy’s paintings have been in group as well as solo exhibitions and galleries in Arizona, California, Colorado, Illinois, North Carolina, Mississippi, New Mexico, and Virginia. Her paintings are in private and corporate collections throughout the United States. She is a signature member of Plein Air Artists of Colorado, a juried associate member of Women Artists of the West, a member of the American Impressionist Society, and a juried associate member of the Oil Painters of America. She is also the Western Regional Editor of Fine Art Connoisseur Magazine, formerly Plein Air Magazine.

Amy helped found the Piedmont Outdoor Painting Society, a juried professional plein-air painting association based in the Winston-Salem, North Carolina area. As a charter and founding member, she continues to play an active role in this organization.
