Plein Air Painting in Taos
I was recently asked why I don't offer prints of my paintings.

This is a topic that I have often thought about. I believe that only hand-pulled prints are are valuable, and that in itself is an art. I try to keep my originals affordable, because I find that by the time someone has purchased a reproduction, often marketed as a print, and paid for framing they could have purchased an original framed painting.

Originals have a spirit that reproductions lack...you can see the energy in the brushstrokes. They are one of a kind and archival.

My advice...only buy reproductions if you only care for the decorative aspect. They are upscale posters and will eventually fade. Many galleries will work with you  in order to help with payments towards "a piece of an artist's soul"...well worth it....
