Plein Air Painting Along the Snake River, CO
While painting out with a couple of my plein air painting friends we discussed whether or not we are painting to sell each time we approach the easel. My response was...wouldn't that be wonderful, but no... I paint because I love the process. Each painting is a learning tool...and sometimes I am thrilled with the outcome. I am glad that I don't fell pressured to produce a sellable work every time I paint. That of course  is a great goal, but in reality it doesn't happen all the time..Painting is a constant challenge. Sometimes the painting seems to paint itself...I am just holding the brush. Those are special times!
